How do I make a purchase?

When you see an item you want, click on the green "Add to Shopping Cart" button to put it in your Shopping Cart. You can then continue shopping or proceed to pay for your item and Checkout. Remember, an item isn't yours until you pay for it at Checkout.

Is it safe to use my credit card over the Internet?

Our customers are our number one priority. We go to great lengths to protect you and your personal information. Our credit card processing system is SSL Authenticated and secure. We do not sell our customers information to anyone, ever.

How to submit a Purchase Order

We extend Net 30 day terms to institutions submitting a Purchase Order. Simply select Purchase Order during Checkout, and email your order receipt with your Purchase Order to Sales@thehomesecuritysuperstore.com.

How do you protect my information?

90 Day Return Policy / Warranty

Do you accept Returns?

YES. Our number one goal is to make you a happy returning customer! Feel free to return any item that you are not thrilled to own. To return an item, please call us at 1-800-616-5305 to secure a Return Authorization (RA) number or following the link here.

All RA requests must be made within 30 days post item delivery.

Returns made within 30 days, post item delivery, can receive a refund to their original form of payment. All other returns outside of 30 days, but within 90 may receive store credit or can request an exchange.

Before a credit is issued, the item must be returned and received by us.

We do not refund shipping costs, or refund the cost of your return shipping.

If your item is received in brand-new working condition and has not been used, we will refund 100% of your item cost.

Items returned in used condition or with packaging that cannot be resealed are subject to a 30% restocking fee. All returned items must be in original packaging and include all components in good working order. Products not meeting these terms are subject to no refund.

The following product categories are subject to a 30% restocking fee, no exceptions.
(Unfortunately, some buyers purchase these items with the intent of returning them after they gain the usefulness these products provide)

In the event you are returning one of the items above, in order to qualify for us refunding 70% of your purchase price, the returned product must have its original box and ALL components. In the event your item is returned with damaged components, missing components, or does not include the original box, we will not process your refund.

Items marked as Final Sale are NOT returnable.

My item was damaged by the shipping carrier, how do I get it replaced?

All shipping damage and breakage must be reported to us within 7 days of receipt as claims must be made with carrier. We will act on your behalf with the carrier to expedite your claim and ship you a replacement product. Please contact us at 1-800-616-5305 to report any merchandise damaged by shipping carrier.

I received a defective item, how do I get it replaced?

We stand behind each and every product. In the unlikely event that you receive a defective item, please contact us to request a replacement. All replacement requests must be made by emailing us at Support@thehomesecuritysuperstore.com or calling us at 1-800-616-5305 to secure a Return Authorization number (RA). Replacement product cannot be issued until the defective item is returned and received. It is the responsibility of the customer to return the defective item.

I received a defective item that I no longer want, how do I return it for a refund?

If you receive a defective item that you want to return and not have us replace, we will refund you 100% of your item cost. All defective item returns for credit must be made by emailing us at Support@thehomesecuritysuperstore.com or calling us at 1-800-616-5305 to secure a Return Authorization number (RA). Your return credit cannot be issued until the defective item is returned and received. It is the responsibility of the customer to return the defective item.

Is there a warranty?

The Home Security Superstore offers a limited warranty on all products.

Some products have manufacturer's warranties that are much longer. Products with expiration dates, like pepper spray, have a warranty that is governed by the expiration date.

Unless otherwise specified on our product details page, The Home Security Superstore will repair its products with new or rebuilt parts, free of charge, in the U.S.A. for 90 days from the date of original purchase in the event of a defect in materials or workmanship. Product must be shipped back to The Home Security Superstore for repair in original packing. Shipping charges for all returns are at the expense of the customer. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser. A purchase receipt or other proof of date of original purchase will be required before warranty performance is rendered. We email all customers an invoice and this is sufficient documentation to submit for warranty coverage.

This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship, which occur during normal use. It does not cover damage which occurs in shipment (covered separately) or failures which are caused by products not supplied by The Home Security Superstore or failures which result from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, modification, or commercial use of the product, or service by anyone other than The Home Security Superstore, or damage that is attributable to acts of God.

Limits and Exclusions

There are no express warranties except as listed above.

THE HOME SECURITY SUPERSTORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

ALL orders received before 4PM M-F, Eastern Standard Time are shipped that day at no extra cost to you. Orders received after 4PM will be shipped the next business day. Please allow 2-9 business days for delivery.

*Note: We are NOT open on the weekend. Any orders placed over the weekend will ship out first thing on Monday (or Tuesday based on holidays).

Commonly asked questions

How will you ship my order and when will it arrive?

Delivery is made by FedEx, UPS, DHL, or USPS and is determined at shipment to meet the estimate displayed during checkout. Delivery estimates are calculated during checkout, but most arrive within 2-9 business days depending on where you are located in relation to our location in Atlanta, GA.

How will I know my package shipped?

After we ship your order from our warehouse, we will send a shipping confirmation email. Please note: if your order includes several items, they may ship separately and at different times. We will communicate this with you and send shipping confirmation email(s) after all packages have shipped.

How is my shipment order processed?

Orders are shipped within 24 hours of payment.

Can I track my package?

YES. We ship via UPS, FedEx or United States Postal Service (USPS). The carrier we choose depends on your location and the weight of the item being shipped. We reserve the right to choose the delivery carrier. All packages shipped include a tracking number including a delivery confirmation number for USPS.

Do you ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, or Military APO?

We DO ship to Puerto Rico, but we do not service Guam or Military APOs currently due to shipping costs and damage issues. We are confident that we will find a solution that will enable us to service these areas in the future.

Do you ship outside the United States?

NO. Currently, we only ship to the 50 states of America and Puerto Rico. We do not service other areas due to high shipping costs, fraud, and damage issues.

I live in Atlanta. Can I pick up my item?

NO. We do not currently have a local retail location and thus do not have local pick-up. No exceptions. We appreciate your understanding.

I'm travelling, can I have this shipped to my hotel or Air BNB?

NO. In the past we have experienced significant issues with packages becoming lost, damaged, or stolen when being delivered to hotels, hostels, and Air BNBs. Due to this we have a blanket policy to deny orders that would be shipped to hotels, extended stay or otherwise.
