This ASP® handcuff key is hammer forged and then precision machined. It is also heat treated for added strength with a coated protective finish. What this means is that it is less likely to break or twist off in a handcuff, unlike many other keys on the market that are made with stamped steel. On top of that, it has a knurled grip to prevent dropping when in use. It also has a BackSet® feature that facilitates rapid location of the handcuff keyway. Lastly, it has a swivel head so it is easy to angle it correctly and it also works as a key ring for attaching to other keys.
