Constructed from lab certified AR500 Omega™ Armor, (1/4” thickness) these plates provide the operator with Level III protection IAW NIJ0101.06 standards. Not all body armor is created equal, this bundle has 1 swimmer’s cut plate carrier and 4 body armor inserts! The body armor plates have level III protection against handguns and rifles. All parts are American made and all orders ship from within the US. The Omega™ AR500 Body Armor Swimmers Cut chest and back plates are 10x12” and weigh 7lbs 7oz. The side plates are 6×6” and weigh 2lbs 11oz.

Important information
The Ballistic Protection Levels are as follows:
Level IIIA (3A): (Low) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, and the high powered .44 magnum used famously in the movie Dirty Harry. High-level protection from most handguns.
Level III (3): (Medium) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, .44 MAG, 7.62x39, 5.56x45 M193, and 7.62x51 M80 Ball. This is real protection, 5.56 is the most common round for the AR platform rifles with the 7.62 NATO being the most common round for the M14.
Level III+ (3+): (High) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, .44 MAG, 7.62x39, 5.56x45 M193, 7.62x51 M80 Ball, 5.56x45 M855 and .30-06 JSP for even higher level rifle protection.
Level IV (4): (Highest) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, .44 MAG, 7.62x39, 5.56x45 M193, 7.62x51 M80 Ball, 5.56x45 M855 and .30-06 JSP and lastly armor-piercing rifle rated ammo up To .30-06 M2 AP. This is the top protection out there for bulletproof protection.

I initially read the "ships today" and didn't notice when scrolled down the current lead time is 2 weeks. It however got here faster than 2 which is great. If you want full upper body protection id recommend (unless you're under 6ft) getting the next up in protection which would be 11-14inches opposed to the 10". My entire obliques, abs and lower lumbar is exposed. My heart, and kidney are safe & sound however, I probably should've went a size up. I'm fit 6'3 215LB
