This insert is designed to professional law enforcement standards but intended for consumers. They have the same 2 million Scoville Heat Units and 10% OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) as the original inserts for the Key Defender. They effectively spray 5 feet and contain six one-half second bursts. Always replace the insert after using the Key Defender. Test your device once a year outside to make sure it's working fine. It's also recommended that you purchase a Test Insert (not included, see accessories) to practice using the device and familiarize yourself with how it functions.
