Remote Monitoring Of Your Home’s Security

Many people feel the best way to ensure the security of their home is with the monitored home security system. Companies like ADT and others do a lot of advertising enticing homeowners with their 24 hour monitored home security service. This service is effective, but it does have drawbacks. In this article we will discuss the importance of monitoring your home security, even from afar and show you how you can do it yourself to save a ton of money with just as much effectiveness as the paid services.

There is absolutely no doubt in anybody’s mind the importance of having home security. One out of every six homes is burglarized annually, with close to $4000 in both the value of goods taken and damage done to the home. And those are just averages. Most burglaries-close to 90% of them-are done during the daytime when no one is at home. That is not by accident; that is by design.

Home security companies prey on the fears of homeowners that something, such as a burglary, can happen to their home while they are away. That part is true. So their salesman sell you on the idea of having their security system installed and then provide a 24 hour monitoring service that can cost, depending on the size of your home, $1,000 a month or more. For monitored home security that may seem like a lot. The kicker is you need to sign a three to five-year contract. So you are on the hook for as much is $5000.

Police departments will tell you that they get so many phony, bogus security alarms that they have started charging homeowners for them. That can cost you an extra bundle every month.

Now there is a way you can provide your own 24 hour monitoring no matter where you are in the world. Here’s how!

Many security/surveillance cameras, including hidden cameras that are often used as nanny cameras, have wireless transmission that enables you to view remotely what is going on in your home either on your cell phone or on a computer screen from anywhere. Many of them also have the capability to send you email security alerts when motion is detected inside your home. Isn’t that what ADT will charge you $5,000 for over a period of 3 to 5 years?

Another way to do it is with a new product called the Photo Express auto dialer. It combines a camera that can take up to two photos instantaneously and a motion detector that works up to 32 feet away during the daytime. When motion is detected, a security alarm sounds that can alert neighbors, then two photos are taken that reach you in as little as 30 seconds and it sends a text to you instantaneously notifying you of security alerts.

This Photo Express Auto Dialer detects motion, sounds an alarm then snaps up to 2 photos instantaneously, then can text you of a burglary in progress.

This system has four Wireless Cameras that have a view of 300 feet. When motion is detected an email alert is sent.
