The Byrna® pepper projectiles contain 1% Oloresin Capsicum (OC), 4% PAVA and 8% Tear Gas (CS) formula that causes an instant burning sensation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system, making it hard to breath. The projectiles work with any of the Byrna® launchers to fire the rounds great distances to disperse a powerful pepper cloud upon impact. This means you do not need to hit a would-be attacker directly, so you are protected from a safe distance.

One 4 fl. oz. (118 ml) container of mace or pepper spray is permitted in checked baggage provided it is equipped with a safety mechanism to prevent accidental discharge. Self-defense sprays containing more than 2 percent by mass of tear gas (CS or CN) are prohibited in checked baggage.
