Overall good!
Decent product but could use a little improvement on first extension lock up. Stage two is nice and tight, first stage was a little loose. Good grip and reasonable deployment. Took only a little mod to the internal close lock to get the extension release improved.

A formidable self defense weapon.
I love it. For years, I carried another brand of expandable baton. Recently, I lost it. This new Streetwise beats the old baton, hands down. The Streetwise is heavier. Even unexpanded, it will be a formidable self defense weapon. A punch to the face or a poke to the temple with the end of the baton will get the aggresser’s attention. I love the feel, the heft, and the quality of the Streetwise.

Exactly what I needed / wanted
I found this reviewed as a "best bang for the buck" as a protection baton. At about $20, it's the perfect price point. I read other reviews about this, saying that the holster wasn't great. I think the holster is fine, which a small flaw - the Velcro doesn't attach very securely to close over the top. This doesn't prevent this from being a usable baton holster, but I think this should ideally be addressed in a future version of the product. Quality Velcro would help a lot.

Good Baton, but you'll need an adequate sheath for it
The baton is pretty decent. The sheath is not really capable of keeping the baton in place and looks like it will be pretty easy for the baton to slip right out the side at the bottom and be lost.
