The Streetwise™ Level 3A Bulletproof Backpack Armor Insert converts any backpack, laptop case, or handbag into a ballistic shield. The insert is capable of stopping nearly all handgun rounds (including 9mm and .44 Magnum)and protects from sharp objects as well. Tested by an independent facility to National Institute of Justice (NIJ) the insert measures up to Level 3A standards. This is the highest level of protection currently available for lightweight, flexible (soft) body armor.

Important information
The Ballistic Protection Levels are as follows:
Level IIIA (3A): (Low) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, and the high powered .44 magnum used famously in the movie Dirty Harry. High-level protection from most handguns.
Level III (3): (Medium) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, .44 MAG, 7.62x39, 5.56x45 M193, and 7.62x51 M80 Ball. This is real protection, 5.56 is the most common round for the AR platform rifles with the 7.62 NATO being the most common round for the M14.
Level III+ (3+): (High) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, .44 MAG, 7.62x39, 5.56x45 M193, 7.62x51 M80 Ball, 5.56x45 M855 and .30-06 JSP for even higher level rifle protection.
Level IV (4): (Highest) Protects from 40 S&W, .357 SIG, 9MM, .45 ACP, .38 Special, .357 MAG, .44 MAG, 7.62x39, 5.56x45 M193, 7.62x51 M80 Ball, 5.56x45 M855 and .30-06 JSP and lastly armor-piercing rifle rated ammo up To .30-06 M2 AP. This is the top protection out there for bulletproof protection.
