Who’s Using Tasers Now
I think just about everybody knows about tasers or at least heard about them. At last count there are well over 12,000 law enforcement agencies in the United States and thousands more in seven other countries that were using tasers.
They are generally considered to be the premier nonlethal self defense product in the arsenal of products that law enforcement personnel carry.
It is tough enough being a law enforcement officer. They undergo hours of training on techniques that they will use in the field. Among the training segments is one on how to use the taser. Part of that training is to be subjected to the effects of the taser so they learn firsthand how effective they are.
The taser uses low-voltage and high wattage to disable an assailant by overriding the nervous and muscular system. In tests done by Taser international they have been proven to be 100% effective with more stopping power than a 9 mm handgun.
The latest persons to start using tasers are military police officers in Germany and, believe it or not, referees in English premier soccer league.
One civilian version of the taser is the Taser C2. It does everything that the law enforcement models do, but at a fraction of the cost.
The C-2 tasers come in six colors of red, blue, silver, pink, yellow and black. The new packaging includes your choice of any color taser, two live cartridges, a training cartridge for practicing, a holster and a practice target at considerable savings I might add .
If so many police officers carry tasers, shouldn’t you consider getting one for your nonlethal self defense.
