One of my favorite shows these days is called “Shark Tank.” On the show, entrepreneurs with the dream and perhaps a good idea are trying get funding from the “sharks”-five very wealthy individuals who have a world of experience and more money to possibly invest into their venture.
Last week on the show somebody came up with the brilliant idea called “rent a grandma.” The whole idea behind it was that you can get a baby sitter for your child or children with a whole bunch of experience and someone who knows how to make cookies too-just like your grandma.
Well before I get carried away on the show, the premise was that grandmothers are more trustworthy than the kid down the block. I don’t think too many people would argue with that. Not that you couldn’t get lucky and find a kid who would take good care of your baby but why take a chance?
At best you may know the parents, but what does that really mean? Their kids may be a completely different story. And even if you go through a babysitting service, a nanny service, so to speak, you really have no idea what their background is or how trustworthy they are.
Parenting is hard enough. Parents need all the help they can get. So the answer to the question ‘do you really need a nanny camera’ is yes.
There are all kinds or stories on the Internet about babysitters or nannies abusing their wards. Then there’s the issue of stealing. That presents a whole other issue.
And just so there’s no mistaking, a nanny camera is a hidden video camera that can do much more and keep an eye on a babysitter. It can act as a home security camera for your home catching anyone who might enter your front door when you’re not home. It might keep an eye on your teenager child’s friends to make sure they’re not taking your alcohol or stealing from you. It may also keep an eye on a spouse if you suspect him or her of cheating on you.
One hidden video camera that really fits into a child’s room is the Teddy Bear Camera. It is a cute, cuddly teddy bear with a hidden camera and DVR inside. The DVR uses an 8 GB SD card that is upgradable to 16 GB to record video for easy playback on your PC. The camera uses motion activated recording so there’s no dead recording time. The teddy bear has a rechargeable battery that is good for as much as 20 hours at a time. Aim the teddy bear in the direction you want to record and use the remote control to begin recording.
When you decide that you need a nanny camera to keep an eye on your babysitter or nanny and protect your child, the teddy bear hidden camera is an excellent choice. It can help you with the awesome responsibilities of parenting and improve home security too.
