But why not get them something they can actually use. For Prices ranging up to $50.

We have, as of this writing, 192 pepper sprays starting at $6.75. Pepper sprays are the most popular self-defense product in the world, and we are proud to say that we have the largest selection of them of any website in the United States. If you can’t find it here, it probably doesn’t exist.

Then we have a vast assortment of so-called keychain weapons starting at $5.99. They come in a variety of styles but all feature sharp edges and finger holes to deliver a devastatingly harmful punch to your assailant. They are called keychain weapons for a reason they all have keychain attachments. They are lightweight, inexpensive and legal everywhere.

The next most common self-defense weapons are stun guns. Right now we have 140 stun guns to choose from starting with the jolt stun gun which is 86,000,000 volts at $16.99.

Then you might want to consider a combo pack of a stun device and inexpensive pepper spray that can easily be put together for under $50.

$50-$100 Range

Over $100 Range

Our tasers range in price from $399 up to $997 with the Taser Pulse+ being the smallest, because it was specially designed for women and the least expensive. But it still does essentially the same thing as all other tasers just with not quite as many bells and whistles.

In our article entitled ‘How Do Tasers Work?’ we said ” A taser controlled electronic weapon (CEW) uses electricity in a different approach to incapacitating violent people. It uses low voltage and relatively high amperage to “mimic the electrical signals used within the human body to communicate between the brain and the muscles” according to the Taser website.

It interferes with communication between the nerves and the brain that control neuromuscular reactions. They do this by overwhelming the nerve traffic causing involuntary muscle contractions and impairment of motor skills. It literally jams the nervous system.

Tasers work by shooting out two probes that have barbs on the end. Civilian models shoot up to 15 feet away with such force that it can work through a bulletproof vest. Some models have a laser site that helps in aiming and an integrated LED light that illuminates darkened areas to improve your line of vision. There is a safety switch to prevent accidental discharge.

The 30 second timed electrical pulse keeps the attacker down giving you time to escape. In independent tests, tasers have been shown to have more stopping power than a 9 mm handgun and are nearly 100% effective. Police models of the taser have more features and a greater range but essentially operate the same way as civilian models. And there is a certain amount of pain associated with this nonlethal self-defense weapon.”

Tasers are the only nonlethal self-defense weapon that requires a background check administered by Taser international. They are, without a doubt, the most expensive self-defense weapon there is. But they are also, without a doubt, the most effective.
