  • Self-defense keychain weapon
  • A miniature version of a "ball and chain"
  • Swing the metal ball inside of the knot tied at the end of the cord at an attacker
  • Stylish and inconspicuous
  • Easy to use and easy to carry
  • Metal ball weighs 3oz

Since it is almost impossible to carry a ball and chain weapon as a method of self-defense, SAP has produced a smaller but equally effective version. This Monkey Fist Keychain consists of a metal ball that is placed inside a knot and extends out from a keychain. When threatened, simply swing the metal ball in the direction of your attacker and see the metal ball deliver a devastating impact onto your assailant. This Monkey Fist Keychain will be your most trusted self-defense weapon that you can carry at all times.

I like this thing a lot! It's my first Monkey Fist. Pros: It's got an excellent weight! It will **** someone (thus it does the job in an extreme sense if you're not careful). I like how it fits in my hand and how much it weighs. It seems well made, and has held up to the wear and tear I've put it through! Cons: I wouldn't hit someone in the head or neck with this because it's so hefty and well made. I'd aim for the pressure points on someone's arms or legs to ensure they couldn't hit you or follow you because it would likely **** or maim someone if it lands on the head or neck area. Do not keep it on a keychain, however! I know that's what it is marketed for but... again... It's got a lot of weight to it. That makes it an excellent Monkey Fist but terrible for keychains. At this weight, it'll wear our your cars ignition fast. The ignition in most modern cars isn't meant to withstand a lot of weight and pressure. They wear out faster when people keep heavy keychains. However, it makes for a great "charm" for a purse, coat, jacket, or to hang off a belt.

Believe it or not I carried a similar defense weapon while doing my 3 tours in Vietnam. I did use it there on a number of occasions, and they pack quite a wallop. That's why I ordered 2 of these, I never leave home without it!
