The frame is made of lightweight, yet rigid and strong aluminum, while the contact bows are made of durable steel. The bows are made to fit most wrists and are conical and flat to improve application speed and accuracy. On top of that, it has dual-sided, single-turn keyways that can lock or unlock the cuffs without releasing the cuff bows. There is also a colored identifier band to differentiate property between agencies or officers or aid in subject identification in notes and reports.
